New Jerseys

The Utah Jazz unveiled their new jerseys yesterday evening at a Fan Fest held at Energy Solutions Arena. The Jazz went back to a familiar look while also keeping the jerseys in style and up to date.

The Jazz went back to their old look by going back to their music note logo on the the front. The Jazz stayed with the trend of the NBA in having the V-neck collar. The home jerseys are obviously white with the Jazz name written across the chest in navy blue, matching the stripe down the side of the jerseys. The away jerseys are navy blue with the Jazz written in white across the chest, matching the stripe down the side. For video of Jazz players showing off the new look of the Jazz, go to http://www.nba.com/jazz/video/2010/08/17/VID01297wmv-1394669/index.html. This video is from NBA.com.

One might notice though that both the home and aways jerseys have Jazz written on them. This goes against the norm of the NBA, most teams will don the mascot name on their home jerseys while wearing their city name across the away jerseys. It is nice to see the Jazz being a little different and a great logo every where they go.

Immediate fan reaction seems to be mainly positive. It is nice to see the Jazz going back to their roots without looking old fashioned.
